Welcome to the website of Global Projects, a sole proprietorship set up by Emmy Voltman. I am a Dutch consultant and work for and with different clients on sustainable projects and businesses in Africa. I started working in Africa in 2003. Over the years I set up and co-manage(d) several projects & businesses in East Africa (Kenya & Tanzania) and West Africa (Ghana & Senegal) and work(ed) on projects in the field of ICT for Development (ICT4D), Education, Agriculture, (Social) Entrepreneurship, Woman & Youth projects and projects on Renewable Energy and Circular Economy.  

I am experienced in business development & strategic partnerships, project development and (local) coordination, fundraising & investment advice and media productions (video shooting & editing). I work(ed) for and with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), SMEs and start-ups in The Netherlands, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Uganda. Currently I am involved in projects in Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana. I am based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and on- and off in Nairobi, Kenya.
