19 - 01 - 2019 How my dance shoes brought me to Nairobi’s Woman Prison...
I am a (salsa) dance addict. Also in Nairobi you’ll find me regularly on the dance floor. It’s how I met Aggie Aloo. She is a Kizomba teacher and once a week she teaches inmates of Langata Woman Prison. She heartens them, cheers the woman up and gives them self-confidence. How special is that ?! I felt fortunate to get the chance to see what Aggie is doing, spoke to some woman prisoners and saw what influence dancing has on them. I will make a full movie about this (which will take a while) Here are some first impressions...
